About The Sorcerer of Awakening
Under a blood-red solar eclipse, Ovis and Aries, two magic-users called Magites, tried to take over the country of Castaro by causing magical chaos and destruction in the capital of Medalla. Paul Cartio, a young soldier in Castaro’s military, stopped their assault and restored peace and order. That day, forever known as the Medalla Attack, caused a chain reaction leading to the eventual rise of Magite Hunters and the curtailing of the rights of Magites, including preventing them from holding office or joining the military.
Twenty-three-years later to the day, Paul’s son, Julian, sets off for Medalla to join Castaro’s military and follow in his heroic father’s footsteps. There’s just one problem…Julian is a Magite. He’s not just any Magite, though – he’s the Sorcerer of Awakening, the one destined to awaken the gods that fell into a deep slumber almost two thousand years ago sealing away an ancient evil that someone is trying to bring back. Are the Magite Hunters connected somehow, and what kind of connection do they have with Julian’s late father? Julian will have to balance basic training, hiding his true identity, and stopping the Magite Hunters if he hopes to succeed.
The Sorcerer of Awakening is a modern fantasy that is rated PG-13 for blood, language, and violence. The comic updates every Wednesday. The story originally started off as an unpublished six-book series but has transitioned into becoming a comic over the past few years.
